After extensive teacher training in childbirth preparation methodologies, including HypnoBirthing®, Lamaze®, and Mindfulness Based Childbirth Preparation® I have put every tool to the test during labor with my clients. By continually attending births as a doula and seeing what works for my clients, I was able to develop this program to best prepare women and their partners for labor.

The key finding of this research was that women who can relax their minds, remain in the present moment, and approach birth without preconceptions have the most positive birth experiences. After 20 years of Zen training, it was a natural step to teach my clients meditation so that they could stay in the present moment through labor, taking it one moment at a time. As a certified hypnotherapist, I teach you and your partner hypnosis techniques for keeping the mind and body relaxed so that labor is easier, and the laboring mother is reminded to let go completely and remain in the present moment. This combined approach of using hypnosis to support meditation is invaluable during labor.

After going through typical childbirth preparation classes, many couples report that they got to labor and couldn't remember a thing from their class.
