Haber, my fee is $950.
Prenatal
Visit
In our prenatal visit, we will go over your birth plan, the techniques you
are practicing from our work in class or private sessions, and discuss how
you want to be supported at your birth. I will be there to support your birth
the way you want it. If you want to have a natural birth, I will be there
to reassure and encourage you to go through labor without medication and provide
natural comfort measures. If you are open to taking pain medications during
labor, I can explain the trade offs of each option, and will fully support
you in whatever decision you make. My goal is to help you have the most comfortable,
safe, and rewarding birth possible. The prenatal visit is held in your home.
During
Labor
I will attend the entire birth, from the time you want me to arrive in your
home or at the hospital until I've helped you get started breastfeeding after
birth. During labor, I will be there to provide reassurance, explain any medical
interventions the medical staff proposes, and be a constant knowledgeable
presence in the hospital where nurses are in and out and doctors are often
present for only the last moments of labor. I will do massage and acupressure,
provide counter pressure, suggest labor positions, use a birth ball (which
I provide), lead you into relaxation, as well as help your partner to provide
comfort measures as requested.
Post
Partum
After birth, I will show you how to breastfeed. I will come to your home a
few days later to see how you and the baby are doing, go over the birth, teach
you to do a newborn massage, and teach you techniques for calming your baby.
