Group Classes

A hypnosis, Zen, make your partner your doula extravaganza. This is a comprehensive, 12-hour series of classes that get you and your partner fully prepared for a wonderful birth. In my tranquil home in Berkeley, you will learn:

Zen meditation practice to center, focus, and stay in the present moment
Hypnosis to relax your body and mind
"Make your partner your doula" techniques to prepare your partner to support you effectively.

I share the tricks of the trade and give you the necessary practice to prepare you for labor. You'll leave the class with knowledge, tools, confidence, and a binder filled with learning and reference material. My students repeatedly report fearlessness, confidence, and the ability to relax through labor.

How I Developed Zen Birthing

This class covers the following:

Meditation
Hypnosis work, including partner-led hypnosis
Fear release
Breath work
Birth plan development
Advocating for yourself
Preparing for birth, including kegels, perinneal massage, diet, herbs, and getting your baby into a good position
Creating your birth bag
Positions for laboring
Acupressure
Techniques and tips for each stage of labor
Recovery
Breast feeding
Newborn massage
Calming your baby
Homework assignments

Private Classes

In our private classes, I tailor my sessions to fit your needs. This is a good option if you feel you would benefit from more individualized attention. Classes are crafted to best serve you as an individual/couple. Private classes are held in my tranquil home in Berkeley in 4 one-hour sessions.
